About Madison Park Foods – Some Family History from Christine

I lived in the Midwest when I was little and my family bought popping corn from local farmers – brown bags filled with tiny little popping kernels.  We ate a ton of it, and with ten kids, that isn’t an exaggeration!

When we moved East and I couldn’t find it anywhere.  The only popcorn available was big, yellow, chewy and tasteless.   I searched for this popcorn for 25 years and finally, two years ago, I located the family farmers who grew this corn.

It was my son’s idea to begin distributing it and Madison Park Foods was born.

Americans eat 1B pounds of popcorn each year, and think that they know popcorn.
We needed to show people that this open pollinated popcorn is so much better.
My husband came up with the idea to create unique seasonings, turning this great snack into an extraordinary appetizer.
Having spent years in the spice business he formulated these seasonings himself, choosing very specific spices from growers around the world.
Our seasonings: Tuscan Verde, Citron Rouge, Bloody Mary, Smoked Pepper and Salt and Colonial Tavern, are not just great on popcorn, but also on meat, poultry, vegetables, pasta… even cocktails!
